Uses of Tretizen 20 Mg

Tretizen 20 Mg Capsules contain a product called Isotretinoin which is used for the treatment of severe acne.  So far it has not responded to other curative treatments including antibiotics.

This medicine is mainly used to treat severe cystic acne also known as nodular acne.  So far, it has shown no results with benzoyl peroxide or clindamycin, or tetracycline applied to the skin, or minocycline is taken by mouth.  It starts its work by reducing the production of sebum which is oil in our face.  When sebum is produced on the face, high amounts of it can cause severe acne.  If these are left untreated, severe acne can cause permanent scars on our faces.

Tretizen capsule decreases the amount of oil secreted by the oil glands and performs its action.  In this way, it helps to refresh the skin quickly.  The isotretinoin in Tretizen 20Mg Capsule also helps to reduce bacteria, reduce inflammation, and open pores.

The main ingredient of this capsule is isotretinoin, which is a stereoisomer of all-trans retinoic acid (tretinoin).  The exact mechanism of action of isotretinoin is not yet clear.  It has also been demonstrated that the noticed refinement in the clinical picture of severe acne is related with suppression of sebaceous gland activity and a histologically demonstrated depletion in the size of the sebaceous glands.  Second, a cutaneous anti-inflammatory effect of isotretinoin has also been established.

How to take Tretizen 20 Mg?

Take Tretizen 20 Mg Capsule exactly as directed by your healthcare practitioner.  Please read and follow all directions specified on the label carefully before using it.  This capsule should be swallowed with water and this tablet should never be taken on an empty stomach.  Your doctor decides the dosage of tretinoin according to your body weight.  Waxing or laser treatment is not permitted while on treatment with this medicine.

Dosage

Tretizen 20 Mg dosage should be taken twice a day after meals.  When you consume this medicine, then drink more and more water so that it does its job well.  Never increase or decrease its dosage on your own, use it as per the advice of the doctor.

What should I do if Skip a dose?

If you take one capsule a day and you missed a dose that day, take it as soon as you remember.  If it is the next day to take the missed dose, start taking the next capsule at the usual time.

Serious side effects

Serious side effects are rare and contact a hospital or doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms:

Anxiety, aggression and violence, mood changes, or suicidal thoughts may be signs of depression or other mental health problems

Feeling sick or feeling sick with or without diarrhea, such as nausea or vomiting, can be a sign of a serious problem called pancreatitis.

Special warnings

Its main component has been associated with inflammatory bowel disease in patients without a prior history of intestinal disorders.  Patients should immediately discontinue isotretinoin if severe diarrhea is experienced.

Tretizen Capsules contain sorbitol and maltitol, which should not be used by patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance.

This capsule is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy as it may cause harmful effects on the unborn baby.  It has been found in some studies so please consult your doctor first.

It is also unsafe to use during breastfeeding as some data suggests that it may cause physical harm to the baby or a problem for the mother that may require discontinuation of breastfeeding.

This capsule is probably unsafe to use in people suffering from liver disease, should be avoided or consult a doctor.
