Medrol 8mg (Methylprednisolone) tablets contain the corticosteroid i.e., methylprednisolone as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). As methylprednisolone is an immunosuppressive agent and also an anti-inflammatory agent, the tablets are used in inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, psoriasis, endocrine disorders, lupus, ulcerative colitis, etc.

Antihypertensives

Ethinyl Estradiol

Ethinyl estradiol should be avoided with methylprednisolone as there is a moderate interaction between these two drugs.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

NSAIDs can have a mild or moderate interaction with this medicine. The concurrent use of both should be decided on the basis of this drug interaction by the medical practitioner.

Azole antifungal agents

Azole antifungal agents have a severe effect on the body by the interaction with methylprednisolone.

Alcohol

The use of alcohol and its interaction with medicine is unknown. The use of alcohol should be discussed with a doctor.

Special Warnings

Breastfeeding

The medication is not recommended to be used by any breastfeeding woman. The use should be allowed only if it is very necessary. The proper guidance from the doctor should be taken by the patient for this.

Liver diseases

The patient history should be checked by the doctor before prescribing the drug. A patient with liver disease should be diagnosed with the condition of the disease. Infections
